I sent this email to the authors of Freakonomics:

Hello. First, I just wanted to say that I loved Freakonomics and SuperFreakonomics and I am eagerly awaiting SuperDuperFreakonomics. Second, I am one of those people who keep track of everything, mostly by using Excel spreadsheets. Example: I have been keeping track of every single contest I have entered for more than a year and a half. Maybe one day you can use some of my data. I would love to contribute to your research in any way that I can. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
