Getting married? Get a Shutterbooth!

Shutterbooth Review

I recently got married in October. My wife's mom planned the wedding and she pleasantly surprised us by ordering a photo booth for the reception. Little did she know that this would turn out to be one of the best decisions of the entire wedding planning process!

How It Works

The photo booth was setup in the lobby of the reception hall. Guests would go inside the booth's curtains and choose black and white or color photo. The camera would take four shots and the Shutterbooth attendant would print out two copies of the one by four picture strip. The guests who got their picture taken would get to keep one copy and another was immediately put into a book for the bride and groom. Guests then had an opportunity to sign the book and leave little notes.

What You Get

As mentioned above, you get a nice book with a copy of all the film strips in it at the end of the reception. It was great to take the book to our hotel that night and to every family occasion since and pass it around. Besides the book, you are also supplied with a CD which contains every picture in three different forms: single, a two-by-two grid, and the one by four film strips. There is also a website where all of your friends can view and print the pictures.

The Verdict

I'm not one to give wedding advice because I know how annoying it can get while planning a wedding, but you won't regret it if you get a Shutterbooth! The only negative thing I have to say about Shutterbooth is that it's so much fun that you might miss half your reception by spending it inside the booth. Trust me, every single one of our guests is going to ask to get their picture taken in the booth with you. In the end though it really was so much fun and the staff are super nice and personable. I highly recommend it!

Still not convinced? Check out this video slideshow I put together from some of the pictures from our photo booth. What a great way to remember our special wedding day!

Wedding Slideshow

I made a slideshow which we played while guests were being seating before our wedding. It's about ten minutes long. I used "seasons" by Mae and a piano cover of Depeche Mode's "Somebody" for the soundtrack (the title scene not shown in the YouTube clip used Christopher O'Riley's cover of Radiohead's "Thinking about You," so in a way I can say they played Radiohead at my wedding haha). Anyways, if you like what you see I would be more than happy to over my services for your own wedding or other ceremony or activity. Just leave a comment below or on the video or email me.
